Clancy's Inspires Romance

Recently, WQRC held their 4th Annual Valentine’s Day Contest where they asked their listeners to submit romantic love poems to their sweethearts. Daily winners would win a $25 gift certificate to Clancy's and the grand prize winner would win a $100 certificate.

Todd Haskins was randomly selected as the grand prize winner!

And just look at what Todd wrote:

My wife, in so many ways you are my inspiration,
sometimes I need to show you
and this poetry contest is the perfect situation.
I love you more and more
since the day we said our I do's"
To win dinner at Clancy's would be such a romantic treat
and for this WQRC contest I decided on prose over a haiku
your lovely candlelit eyes with something yummy to eat
You are the best
I love you tons
on this I must persist
and with some luck we will win
the Hannoush watch for your little wrist.

Good Luck Surly Johnson!!

Clancy's owners, husband-and-wife team Guy Erickson and Martha Mendoza, were in Raynham, MA, last night for Christian Fauria's grand opening of his sports bar "Surly Johnson."

As they sipped on Christian's secret recipe for "Dirty Johnsons" (what a name!), they mingled with sports legends Doug Flutie, Dan Koppen and restaurant industry colleagues Eric Spitz of Narragansett Beer and Mark Barry of The Sand Dollar. See photos here.
